Five additional benefits brokers leverage Digital Insurance`s service center for small businesses
Fleet Insurance Services, Lockton Companies, Lassiter-Ware, USI
and ALCOS sign partnership agreements
ATLANTA - (January 27, 2004) Digital Insurance Inc. announced it has signed agreements with five additional employee benefits brokers to enhance the level of day-to-day service and product sales for a portion of their small group benefits business.
The new partners include Fleet Insurance Services in Cranford, NJ, USI of Portland, Ore., Lassiter-Ware in Leesburg, Fla., ALCOS in Sterling Heights, Mich., and Lockton Companies in Atlanta, Ga. Under these partnership agreements, Digital Insurance serves as an extension of each firm`s small business unit helping them meet the unique benefits needs of small employers.
With these partnerships, Digital Insurance deepens its market presence with leading employee benefits firms across the country to re-engineer their small group benefits operations. Growing benefits brokerage practices understand that servicing small employers can be segmented in a way that customer service is enhanced while the resources to manage this block of business are reduced.
“Although we had already organized internally at Fleet Insurances Services to efficiently manage our smaller clients, it became increasingly clear that expanded levels of service and capacity to grow this important market segment could be achieved in partnership with Digital Insurance,” said Pete Gruenberg, executive vice president at Fleet Insurance Services. “Our goal is to deliver a unique solution in the marketplace that provides a discernable value proposition to small businesses throughout the region.
Digital Insurance provides each small business client with a dedicated account management team consisting of an account manager, account coordinator and sales consultant. These teams follow a customer-focused process designed to proactively reach out to each client at least six times per year and assist them in a variety of ways, including the renewal process, claims and billing issues.
“Our business model continues to deliver a powerful solution across the country that focuses on improving customer service to small employers as efficiently and profitably as possible,” said Tom Usilton, president and CEO of Digital Insurance. “We will continue to invest in our people first and then technology infrastructure to evolve our best-in-breed suite of products.”
