Four additional benefits brokers leverage Digital Insurance’s Service Center
for small business
Thesco Benefits, LLC; Unity Group; Ramsey, Krug; Lensing & Farrell;
and Dann Insurance; sign partnership agreements
ATLANTA - (August 26, 2003) Digital Insurance Inc. announced today it has signed agreements with four additional employee benefits brokers to enhance the level of day-to-day service and product sales for a portion of their small group benefits business.
These new partners include Thesco Benefits, LLC in New York City, Unity Group in Bellingham, Wash., Ramsey, Krug, Lensing & Farrell in Little Rock, Ark., Dann Insurance in Bannockburn, Ill. Under these partnership agreements, Digital Insurance will serve as an extension of each firm`s small business unit to meet the unique benefits needs of small employers.
“Our goal is to leverage Digital`s infrastructure in a way that meaningfully impacts the customer experience for our smaller employers,” said Richard J. Fleder, President of Thesco Benefits. “Our goal is to not just expand service levels, but to also deliver new and exciting products that are totally unique in the marketplace. To do so, we need the right mix of people, technology and focus and Digital Insurance was the obvious choice in this regard.”
These new partnerships continue a trend among benefits brokers turning to Digital Insurance to rethink the way services can be delivered. Many brokers are finding it increasingly difficult to efficiently manage and sell their comprehensive set of services to this smaller market segment. The resource burden to maintain and grow their small group business has increased while compensation is either fixed or reduced.
“Our service center continues to deliver tremendous efficiencies for our broker partners,” said Tom Usilton, CEO and President of Digital Insurance. “Ultimately, the small groups we service… their overall satisfaction and a retention rate far above industry norms provides both a benchmark and business case for the merits of a strategic partnership with our firm.”
In its Benefits Service Center, Digital Insurance provides each small business client with a dedicated account management team consisting of an account manager, account coordinator and sales consultant. These teams follow a customer-focused process designed to proactively reach out to each client at least six times per year and assist them in a variety of ways, including the renewal process.
