Digital Insurance expands relationships with 4 broker partners
Woodruff-Sawyer, Acordia, Allied and Waldman Bros. transfer additional business
ATLANTA - (April 22, 2003) Digital Insurance Inc., which partners with traditional brokers to handle the day-to-day case management of small group clients, announced today that four broker partners have agreed to expand their relationships with Digital and transfer additional blocks of small group accounts.
Acordia in New York, NY, Woodruff-Sawyer in San Francisco, Calif., Allied Group Insurance Services in Royal Oak, Mich., and Waldman Bros. in Dallas, Texas each transferred additional blocks of small group business to Digital Insurance. Under these agreements, Digital Insurance will handle the day-to-day servicing and renewal management of these valued customers.
“We are extremely pleased with how the initial block transfer went,” said David Solomons, Senior Vice President with Acordia. “Digital Insurance delivered everything it said it would. The renewal rate was higher than promised and feedback from our clients has been nothing but positive. After we reviewed the data and talked to our customers, we felt very comfortable in expanding our relationship.”
“Our goal is to exceed expectations,“ said Tom Usilton, CEO and President of Digital Insurance. “Our company strives to provide our broker partners and their clients with a level of service unparalleled in the industry for small group clients. This is a continued validation of a business model that is driving both efficiencies and an expanded levels of service into a traditionally underserved market segment.”
Digital Insurance has partnered with more than 35 benefits brokers to service and sell their small group business. Many brokers are finding it increasingly difficult to efficiently manage and sell their comprehensive set of services to this smaller market segment. The resource burden to maintain and grow their small group business, generally defined as employers with less than 25 employees, has increased while compensation is either fixed or reduced.
In its Customer Care Center, Digital Insurance provides each small business client with a dedicated account management team consisting of an account manager, account coordinator and sales consultant. These teams follow a customer-focused process designed to proactively reach out to each client at least six times per year and assist them in a variety of ways, including the renewal process.
