Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance, Van Gilder Insurance and T.J. Adams Group
turn to Digital Insurance for small business solution
ATLANTA - (April 10, 2003) Digital Insurance Inc. announced it has signed agreements with three Assurex Global-affiliated employee benefits brokerage firms to handle the day-to-day service and sales of a portion of their small group benefits business.
These new Assurex partners are Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance, LLC in Memphis, Tenn., T.J. Adams Group in Lombard, Ill., and Van Gilder Insurance Corp. in Denver, Colo. Under these partnership agreements, Digital Insurance will serve as an extension of the small business unit of these benefits brokers to enhance service levels and sell to the brokers` prospects.
Assurex Global is the world`s largest privately held risk management and commercial insurance brokerage group with 130-plus independently owned insurance agencies around the globe. Assurex Global invites only one independent broker per market to become an Assurex Global Partner. Partners are selected on the basis of their premier market position, history of growth, quality, breadth of services, integrity and commitment to serve the clients of all Assurex Global Partners around the world.
“We felt that Digital Insurance was an ideal solution to help us efficiently service our small business customers,” said Ken Olson of T.J. Adams Group. “We looked at Digital’s established record of servicing the small business market and came away impressed with their small-business focus, superior technology and commitment to customer service which have resulted in a renewal rate that far exceeds the industry standard.”
These new partnerships continue the trend among benefits brokers turning to Digital Insurance to rethink the way services can be delivered. Many brokers are finding it increasingly difficult to efficiently manage and sell their comprehensive set of services to this smaller market segment. The resource burden to maintain and grow their small group business, generally defined as employers with less than 25 employees, has increased while compensation is either fixed or reduced.
“Digital Insurance is committed to providing an efficient solution to the challenges traditional brokers are facing with the small group market,“ said Tom Usilton, CEO and President of Digital Insurance. “Our focus is on providing a superior employee benefit brokerage experience for small groups and individuals in a way that complements our partners` existing operations.”
In its Customer Care Center, Digital Insurance provides each small business client with a dedicated account management team consisting of an account manager, account coordinator and sales consultant. These teams follow a customer-focused process designed to proactively reach out to each client at least six times per year and assist them in a variety of ways including the renewal process.
